Prog For Peart was founded in the sad aftermath of the Jan 2020 loss of Neil Peart, drummer for Canadian band Rush. Neil Peart, or The Professor, to the cognoscenti, is widely accepted as one of the greatest rock drummers of the modern era. Prog For Peart 2025 will be the fifth year of the festival.
He sadly died of a fatal form of brain cancer called Glioblastoma Multiforme or GBM. A not much known disease but one which takes the lives of around 200,000 people worldwide each year and 5,000 in the UK alone. Typical life expectancy from diagnosis is 14mths.
Prog For Peart proudly tries to raise money to contribute to the fight to end the suffering this disease causes by donating all profits from the festival to the Headcase Cancer Trust. A UK charity who focus ONLY on this form of…
